Well, we're on our way to the annual Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies conference in San Jose.  It is completely sold out this year with over 600 people attending.  Something is going on.  Almost everyone is our 75 minute rough cut is going to be there speaking.  We decided not to have a screening there because we are deciding whether we want to shoot for a feature documentary, a tv series, or both.  We have our non-profit fiscal sponsor now, From the Heart Productions, so we accept donations to keep going.

Well, this has been an amazing summer so far.

In June we were able to shoot the start of Dr. Stephen Ross' psilocybin research study, an expanded project designed to further investigate Dr. Charles Grob's amazingly positive results at UCLA.  NYU's Bluestone Research Center hosts the the project.  The great team of intelligent, dedicated, committed people having already found volunteer subjects reporting fantastic, important results for themselves.

I just got back from interviewing Annie's 83 year old mother who lives in Walnut Creek, Ca.  She is a spirited, energetic woman who hikes 3 miles a day and drives to see her daughter as often as they can.  It is hard to know what to say, when someone you have not met agrees to let you into her home for a personal interview during such a difficult and sad time in life.  And what could I say?  We went through wonderful pictures of Annie's childhood.  I learned a lot more about her family and was amazed once again by the family's courage.
