Annie

I just got back from interviewing Annie's 83 year old mother who lives in Walnut Creek, Ca.  She is a spirited, energetic woman who hikes 3 miles a day and drives to see her daughter as often as they can.  It is hard to know what to say, when someone you have not met agrees to let you into her home for a personal interview during such a difficult and sad time in life.  And what could I say?  We went through wonderful pictures of Annie's childhood.  I learned a lot more about her family and was amazed once again by the family's courage.  Death is a natural part of life, we all know this.  But that doesn't make it easier, at least not for me, not yet.  Annie and I are exactly the same age and I am certain we would have like one another meeting under any circumstance.  She is kind, clear, and articulate.  Being sick is not a time to mess around or waste time and she is getting the most at of every moment.  She is incredibly present.  I so appreciate your support by appearing in our documentary on the medical research being done with psychedelics.
