September 10 Screening of rough cut at CIIS
Submitted by roz on Wed, 2010-09-01 20:53September 10, 2010 - our first public screening. We are thinking of it as a giant focus group, as we're handing out one page questionnaires to see how this 83 minute cut plays. Its free and open to the public at the California INstitute for Integral Studies. 7 - 9 PM in Namaste Hall. We're preparing the media for the sound mix tomorrow. We are ready. With all the press lately, it seems like good timing for this documentary.
On Our Way to MAPS in San Jose
Submitted by roz on Mon, 2010-04-12 09:25Well, we're on our way to the annual Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies conference in San Jose. It is completely sold out this year with over 600 people attending. Something is going on. Almost everyone is our 75 minute rough cut is going to be there speaking. We decided not to have a screening there because we are deciding whether we want to shoot for a feature documentary, a tv series, or both. We have our non-profit fiscal sponsor now, From the Heart Productions, so we accept donations to keep going.continue reading...

NYU's Bluestone Research Center hosts the the project. The great team of intelligent, dedicated, committed people having already found volunteer subjects reporting fantastic, important results for themselves. continue reading...

Annie
Submitted by roz on Tue, 2009-07-28 18:27I just got back from interviewing Annie's 83 year old mother who lives in Walnut Creek, Ca. She is a spirited, energetic woman who hikes 3 miles a day and drives to see her daughter as often as they can. It is hard to know what to say, when someone you have not met agrees to let you into her home for a personal interview during such a difficult and sad time in life. And what could I say? We went through wonderful pictures of Annie's childhood. I learned a lot more about her family and was amazed once again by the family's courage.continue reading...
Santa Barbara
Submitted by roz on Sat, 2009-05-09 07:16Fires. As many of you know, fires get my attention because of the loss of my home and business to a wildfire in Malibu years ago. The air in all of Southern California was tinged by ashes yesterday due to the fires in Santa Barbara. I was fortunate to be there a few weeks ago to hear His Holiness, the Dalai Lama speak at the University of California Santa Barbara. It was a perfect day in every way. I was struck by how beautiful the area is. UCSB has a campus with a view of the ocean and its own lagoon.continue reading...
